With very few exceptions, if you are the original owner and within the first year (12 months) of ownership, your BMW Premium Travelware product becomes damaged, including damage caused by wear and tear, defects in materials or workmanship as well as any damage caused by common carriers such as airlines, cruise lines, trains and taxis, BMW will cover all costs to repair your product, including the cost to ship the product to and from our repair center. If they determine that your product is too damaged to repair, they will replace it with the same or an equivalent valued model, free of charge.
If you are the original owner and your BMW Premium Travelware product becomes damaged due to defects in materials or workmanship from the second to the fifth year of ownership, for a nominal fee BMW will repair your product or replace it, as determined at our discretion, with the same or an equivalent valued model, free of charge, as long as the defect appears under normal use. While the shipping costs to their repair center are the responsibility of the owner, BMW will cover the return freight. This YEAR TWO THROUGH YEAR FIVE WARRANTY does not cover damage caused by common carriers such as airlines, cruise lines, trains and taxis. Damage claims in transit cases should be filed against the carrier.
The BMW Premium Travelware warranty does not cover damages resulting from abuse, cosmetic wear (such as scratched leather), damage due to cleaning, lost or stolen bags and incidental or consequential damages such as damage to or loss of the contents of a bag, loss of use, loss of time, or similar expenses.
The BMW Premium Travelware warranty extends to the original owner. To validate both the YEAR ONE WARRANTY as well as the YEAR TWO THROUGH YEAR FIVE WARRANTY, the original owner of the product will require a proof of purchase in the form of an original sales receipt from an authorized BMW Premium Travelware retailer.
Note that while warranty repairs will be made professionally, BMW cannot guarantee the original appearance to be preserved. In these rare instances, repairs made will restore the intended functionality of the product.
This BMW Premium Travelware warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which vary from state to state or country to country.
